Current legislation says all premises subject to The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 should have means of raising the alarm in the event of a fire.
If you have an electronic fire alarm system in your premises, then it has to be fit for purpose. Under British Standards, it should be periodically inspected by a competent person at an interval of no longer than six months.
We are fully qualified and insured to carry this out for you to British Standards. As a part of our fire alarm servicing, we will also carry out emergency lighting service/test free of charge!
During a service, we will check every smoke and heat detector in your building and also all the manual call points. The service also covers the main control panel to make sure it is working correctly. We will also clean your detectors to ensure they are fast-acting in the event of a fire so you can evacuate the building before it is too late.
